The State Medicinal Plants Board has organize Three numbers of National level Seminar, Three Nos. of Collaborated Training on Harvesting, Entrepreneur & Marketing strategy of MAP Sector. The Nodal Officer has attended no of meeting & seminar both National & International level in connection with MAP sector for growth and development in the state of Assam. There are good no of Expo & Fair hosted by different organization in and around assam where SMPB, Assam took part with there capacity.

The State Medicinal Plants Board has plan a detail study on demand & supply position of the medicinal plants of the state in this connection already project has been initiated by SMPB, Assam on "In depth market information service including data bank" supported by NMPB, in this year. Already the Board has collected list of Growers, Traders & Manufactures. Enlisted there capacity as well as turn over along with species require etc. under collection & progress.

The SMPB, Assam hold two nos. of its Board meeting for evaluate activity of the Board. As per the decision of the Board the SMPB, Assam activity has been analyzed and encouraged to propagate the promotional activity for development for the MAP sector. There are nos. of suggestion enlisted in the meeting which are put in the problem and suggestion column.

State Medicinal Plants Board is providing necessary information along with printing materials and leaflet and instructing them to register with State Medicinal Plants Board. Nearly 250 organizations including firms, traders, pharmaceutical and NGOs from entire Assam have registered with the State Medicinal Plants Board, Assam for availing guidance for cultivation & commercialization of medicinal plants
